Photo Guidelines
The better the photo, the better the portrait. Here's how to pick a winner.
✅ Send a photo that is
- Clear and in focus — no blur or heavy filters
- Front- or side-facing, with both eyes visible
- Well-lit — natural light near a window beats flash
- Close enough to see your pet's face and markings
- Just your pet in frame (one pet per portrait, unless you ordered more)
⚠️ Try to avoid
- Dark, backlit, or low-light shots
- Motion blur or far-away photos
- Heavy filters or screenshots of screenshots
- Sunglasses, costumes, or anything covering the face
Not sure if your photo will work? Send it anyway. A real person reviews every photo, and if we need a clearer one we'll tell you before we start. We never guess.
Multiple pets
Doing a 2- or 3-pet portrait? Send one clear photo of each pet — they don't need to be in the same picture. We'll bring the royal family together.
